Finca Idealista, the flagship farm of Nicaragua is a prime example of how to change the world through coffee.  Idealista uses machetes instead of herbicides, a mushroom to kill insects instead of pesticides, volcanic filters to keep mucilage-filled wash-water out of the watershed, and chickens roost above the farm's compost to infuse it with nitrogen.  Pickers are paid double local rates.

This lot of geisha should not exist because the yield is so low that almost any other variety would result in more income for the farm.  It is a true labor of love that produces jasmine and tea-like cupping notes.

    At Paper Frog Coffee, we're excited to introduce two exceptional limited edition coffees that highlight the dedication and passion of their growers.

    Vote for Pedrero

    Grown by Ernelio Ortiz at Finca El Pedrero in Honduras's Montecillos region, this coffee features Catuai and IHCAFE 90 varieties. Ernelio's commitment to environmental stewardship has enhanced his coffee's quality. Tasting notes include jammy red grape, raspberry, mild burnt sugar, and cocoa, with candy-like sweetness and intense winey acidity. 

     

     

     



    Guadalupe & the Giant Peach

    Cultivated by Doña Guadalupe Herrera at Finca Guadajey in Jinotega, Nicaragua, this coffee is a unique blend of red and yellow Catuai varieties. The naturally occurring yeasts on her farm impart a distinctive sweet peach aroma and flavor to the beans. Tasting notes highlight prominent peach flavors, complemented by honey and clementine undertones.
